Shivani Karthikeyan

Shivani Karthikeyan is a sophomore in the Honors program at Uconn. She is majoring in biomedical engineering while on the pre-medicine track. She is mainly interested in how neural networks in the brain and patterns of behavior can be affected by changes in music. On campus, Shivani is part of a dance team called UConn Thunderaas which performs a traditional type Indian dance called garba-raas that originates from the state of Gujarat. She has also played the violin in multiple orchestras since she was in the third grade.

During her free time, Shivani enjoys playing badminton, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
